Crazy Week July 22, 2019

Image
Hi Y'all, this week has been super crazy, I was unable to E-mail last week but I am in Oklahoma now, and it has been amazing. My trainer is Elder McWilliams and he is amazing I have learned so much from him in only a week, he goes home soon and I have a feeling he is a little trunky. We are teaching a friend named Buffy she is super awesome and already has a strong testimony I can't believe how strong her testimony is. Yesterday Buffy called us and said she wanted to talk, so we went over to talk to her. She told us about this friend she has in Chicago that is going through a rough patch right now and needs someone she can trust. So elder McWilliams and I are going to try and find a way to contact the Bishop over there to send a referral and help to Buffy's friend. It is an amazing feeling when someone who is not a member trusts us, and knows we are good people. Buffy also has this Bird who sings and talks its pretty cool. The bird was performing for us and even dancing I...

Brandon...  I can't believe that Brandon will be home July 24th!! I wanted to post updates every week on Brandon's adventures the issue that arrived was Brandon's letter's didn't have a lot of information or pictures. I can tell you that he had a lot of ups and down's in the two year's he's been out. He has also seen a lot of growth in confidence as well as spiritually. He has struggled with learning and speaking Spanish but can hold a conversation and his confidence is growing in that area. Brandon has also gain a small Spanish accent when he speaks certain words in English. I love it! I can't wait to put my arm's around him and welcome him home. Brandon will be speaking in our Ward on July 28th (let me know if you want to come and need an address) We will also be having a get together at our home that evening so please let me know if you need an address. Cody... Cody went into the MTC on June 26th. Here's how thing's have been ...

This is Brandon's mom... First of all I'm sorry for keeping everyone waiting for Brandon updates. The issue we are having is Brandon isn't giving us details or much information to pass on to you all. Brandon is doing well and feeling much better about communicating with the local's in Mexico. I have a bunch of pictures that I will post on here so you can at least see that he is doing well. These pictures were takin in October. These pictures were taken in November.  Happy Birthday Elder's! These Elder's all had Birthday's in November. December Pictures December 19,2017 Christmas Talent Show I will try to add more pictures tomorrow and a little more dialogue , but like I said, Brandon is a man of little words. Even the pictures he sends us have no explanation. I'm not really complaining because it could be worse and I'm just glad he's communicating with us. All these pictures have co...

9-13-2017 One thing I've learned is that I am out here for the lord and through the lord and his atonement I can do all things. We have been protected through all the natural disasters and are safe. My MTC president talked to me about how he had heard that there's a fire in my bones and nothing is going to stop me. Spanish is still kicking my butt, but I am not giving up that easy. The first thing I want to do is go out and teach people. I miss every one and wish you all a great day. 9-18-2017 Hello,  I have  made it to the field and have a lot to tell you so I am writing you a letter and you will get it later love you and hope you are doing just fine.  Brandon's Companion  Mission President McArthur  12 New Missionaries entering the Mission field Sept. 25, 2017 The last two weeks were crazy. I got a black eye from playing basketball. I left my brand new freind and got a new companion. I live in a stone building with...

My week has been very stressful. One of my teachers has another kid in my district tutoring me and it is very difficult. I really just want to go and hide in my bed all day but, I have to get up and try my best. We had the best cordon blue I have had in my entire life. The food is okay, except every once in a while we’ll get something good. (I had asked Brandon to give me more details about his Mission and the buildings that he's been in. This is what he sends me) The building is a building. It has floors and walls and a ceiling. (What a response, lol) My room is tiny, we have a hallway that leads out of the main hallway. Monday, it rained so bad during the day that by night-time our cul-de-sac was flooded. Some of the Missionaries decided to go into the water, because it reached our house. And No, Mom I'm not the messy one. This is my old Zone Leader he left Monday to the Field. He wanted to be taller then me in one of my pictures. ...

Week 8-29-2017

It brings me comfort to know that we all have these way we want things to go but sometimes it is harder then we think. These last couple weeks I have been pushed and tested. I felt coming into it that this was going to be a calm and easy time. I was going to be able to speak spanish and get out to the feild and help God's children with their problems. I realized that not everthing goes as planed and the Lord has a plan for every one and all we need to do is trust in him and when we feel like we can't do any more look back down that mountian of life and look at all you have accomplished, then look back up to the peak and keep going. The Lord only wants you to do your best he doesn't ask you to do more and he doesn't want you to do less, just your best he is there for all of us. Spanish has been a bit more challenging than I expected. I have had some stressful moment's where I felt I wasn't progressing. I know that I'm slowly learning but it definite...

I'm Back! Well...the blog is back. I've decided to use the blog for updates on Brandon and his adventures as a Missionary. He's been out for 17 day's and all we have heard is how hard it is learning a new language and of coarse the need for cookies. I'll elaborate more when life slows down a bit on Sunday but until then enjoy the pictures! Brandon with his Companion Elder Hendricks Brandon's MTC District Brandon with the MTC President Brandon say's "I need all the prayers in the world" He is feeling like a fish out of water when it comes to Spanish. He has made a deal with the teacher that if he only speaks Spanish for the whole week the Teacher will allow Brandon to play an investigator. This kid makes me smile!  Elder Hayward's address for a time is.... Carretera Tenayuca-Chalmita #828 Colonia Zona Escolar, Gustavo A. Madero 07230 Mexico, Distrito Federal Mexico
