Chocolate Indulgence

Image
My inner chocolate has been speaking to me lately so today I decided to make a treat that my kids had while on vacation. We had stopped at this chocolate shop by Bear Lake where they sold chocolate covered rice krispie treats with cute sprinkles on top. And they looked so easy I thought I would give it a try. I made a batch of rice krispies and then cut them into rectangular pieces. I then took Popsicle sticks and pushed them into the bottom of the rice krispie . I took milk chocolate chips and melted them in a pan and then coated the rice krispies set them on the tin foil and sprinkle with your favorite topping. set aside until firm. (you can put in the fridge or freezer for faster results) Yum! Yum!

Exhausted

Image
On the way home from church Andrew had fallen asleep. I unbuckled him from his car seat ( which woke him up) and set him on is way into the house. When I finally made it in the house myself I found him draped around this chair. What is so funny about this is the couch is only two steps away. (What a cutie) The sad part of this story is that when my children nap it usually means that they are growing and honestly I have mixed emotions with the growth process. I love it when they hit milestones in there life but I miss those cuddle moments. I just hope he doesn't grow up to fast! (Church is Exhausting Mom!)

Let's thank our sponsors

Last week I was listening to the radio and they were thanking there sponsors. So I thought I would give it a try. I would like to thank Burger King, Subway, Albertsons and all the reunion food that kept my seat padded for the ride home. I would like to thank Jcpenny's and Sears for dressing my family and for taking our hard eaned cash. I would like to thank bleach for cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and for bleaching everything in it's way. (Even my favorite blouse) I would like to thank my kids for there constant chirping and making life interesting. I would like to thank Tylenol for taking those chirping voices in my head away I would like to thank my Husband for always Being there for my ranting and ravings, for cherrishing the moments he has with me. I would like to thank my family for sharing there many moods with me. I would like to thank my fellow Bloggers for making my posts worth while. And now let me know who your sponsor is... Thank You

You Are Root Beer Ultra sweet and innocent, you have a subtle complexity behind your sugary front. Children love you, but so do high end snobs... when you're brewed right. Your best soda compatibility match: Dr. Pepper Stay away from: Diet Coke What Kind of Soda Are You?

Red-Hot Lips

I have had several sunburns in my life and they have ranged from minor to blisters. I have also sunburned many different places such as arms, legs, back, and feet. This past week I have burnt my lips I woke up with my bottom lip three times it size. It took me at least three hours of talking gibberish before my family could understand me it finally went down to a normal size by evening, but man it was painful. And the next morning my lip had only doubled but still painful. I truly thought someone had injected my lips with collegan. I am wishful that tomorrow I will have better luck with my lips. Everyone cross your fingers.

Staying at home is boring

Image
Yesterday I took the kids (mine and 3 friends of ours the Dezorts ) to the free movies to distract the kids for a few hours (tried to keep the packing chaos down from the playing chaos ). We got home from the movies fed them lunch and then I hear little whimpers of boredom I was busy packing, ironing and laundry. I sent them outback to stretch there legs. As I was busily about I noticed a fire engine pull up to a neighboring home (puddle quacks? daycare) I became that nosey neighbor and proceeded to STARE at the commotion . O.K. so there wasn't really any commotion my neighbors had asked the fire department to come over and give the kids a demonstration and answer questions. As they were pulling out the water hose I had all the kids in the front Yard STARING at these poor folks. They were gracious enough to invite us over and talk with us as well. The kids had a grand time listening to the Fire Fighters I must say I too had a lot of fun looki ... I mean listening as well. T

American Lake

Image
We had a great time at American Lake with our Friends that we went two days in a row. Yesterday the lake was celebrating national nights out. They had 3 different blow up toys and different stations to visit that when you got your card signed off from all the stations they gave you a hot dog and soda my favorite part was that it was all free. The kids had a blast and were great sports when I broke the bad news of having to go home. I am really going to miss seeing the Newluns next week when we are on vacation they are so much fun to have around.

kids do the craziest things...

It's been great fun to have our friends the Newluns come over this summer Today Jashon was helping Kyle keep his balance on Tanis's ripstick. The things boy's will do for friendship they will even hold your hand. As most of you know we are getting ready for a family reunion and in the process we are bringing things out of there hiding spots well it wasn't long before Andrew found the life vests and a tub full of water. He had a blast floating around the bathtub. (this was not staged Sam had walked in the bathroom and yelled for me to come see. And this is what we saw)

BLONDES DON'T HAVE ALL THE FUN

Image
O.k. I love being a blonde but I got tired of never being able to take care of my roots. (money) So I grabbed a box at the nearest Walgreens an vola ! I'm a red head!! O.k. not really but depending on the light I do have red tints to my hair. One of these days when I'm rich I will actually have a professional do my hair. But until then we will have to live with trial and errors. lol (without flash) (with flash)
