Color your heart out!

Image
I have to thank my friend Sonja for reminding me of how to make these beautiful crayons. She calls them ghetto crayons. What you do is take all your broken crayons that you have around the house and take all the wrappers off then break or cut into small pieces . Then place the broken pieces into a mini-muffin tin and bake @ 350 degrees for about 5 -8 min. or melted. Let them cool and they should just pop right out. If you have a few that are stubborn run the bottom of the pan in warm water and it will loosen from pan. Andrew and Malia (I think that's how you spell it) showing off all there hard work. This kept there attention for a good 1/2 hour and they enjoyed coloring with them afterwards.

multi-purpose WD-40

Supposedly WD -40 has all kinds of uses... 1) Protects silver from tarnishing. 2) Removes road tar and grime from cars. 3) Cleans and lubri cates guitar strings. 4) Gives floors that 'just-waxed' sheen without making it slippery. 5) Keeps flies off cows. 6) Restores and cleans chalkboards. 7) Removes lipstick stains. 8) Loosens stubborn zippers. 9) Untangles jewelry chains. 10) Removes stains from stainless steel sinks. 11) Removes dirt and grime from the barbecue grill. 12) Keeps ceramic/ terra cotta garden pots from oxidizing. 13) Removes tomato stains from clothing. 14) Keeps glass shower doors free of water spots. 15) Camouflages scratches in ceramic and marble floors. 16) Keeps scissors working smoothly. 17) Lubricates noisy door hinges on vehicles and doors in homes. 18) It removes bla ck scuff marks from the kitchen floor! Use WD -40 for those nasty tar and scuff marks on flooring. It doesn't seem to harm the finish and you won't have to scrub nearly as hard t

Would you or wouldn't you?

Today we took 4 of our kids to Denny's for lunch (the other 2 were at dance festival). We were sitting there enjoying our meal's and each others company when one of the employees came by with the vacuum cleaner and started vacuuming (it was quiet) and even vacuumed under our table?. while he was vacuuming he was having a conversation with another employer about how the other night he had given a job to a girl that should have taken an hour and it took her two hours so he clocked her out an hour earlier. I was stunned that he would say something like that (NOT TO MENTION HIS ACTIONS)out in front of diners. I sat there wondering should I say something?....When I went up to pay The manager who had been serving us was still there and I asked her if I could have a word with her when we were done. I told her what I had heard and she was so thankful and was shocked that I stopped to tell her. (normally I would not say a word) So the questions is... Do you say something or do you let i

Crazy Moments

Image
This past week we stayed pretty busy cleaning the house, and then making messes, going to the movies, playing at the parks. But I think the craziest moments happened to be when I decided to take 5 of my kids (Tasha was at girls camp) to American Lake by myself. They had a blast and we will defiantly go again. The water was warm and what seals the deal with me is they have lifegaurds on duty. Cody thought he would even take on climbing a mountain while we were there as you can see he was able to reach the top. Callie is always surprising me. You would think as a mother you would check your kids thoroghly before they hop into the car to make sure they are fully dressed and match. Well let's just say there have been several occasions where my children have not been fully dressed, clothes don't match and even shoes not matching. (look closely at Callie's feet) Friday we picked cherries and what do you do with this many cherries? Make ice cream!!! This is our great friend Jash

Let's have some fun!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. 3.If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Poem by Tasha

You and your crew, hang around you But there are just a few, Friends who don't like you I'm sorry to say, your going the wrong way Don't do drugs or alcohol walking down the hall smoking some wheat strutting down the street drinking some beer while looking in the mirror And like I said somethings wrong with your head Good bye for now but see you later! Tasha has been at Girls Camp and boy am I missin her and her special talents.

Helping Hands

We went to the park after the free movies and I thought I would get some cute pictures, read and have a great experience . Especially because we had Cody's friend D.D. with us today. Well... to start off we ate lunch and as soon as they were done they vanished with of course there trash left behind. I tried to get pictures of Andrew and he just wasn't in the mood so you would think I would take the hint... OH No! I had to proceed with my picture taking schedule. I found a great area to have all the kids put there feet together and try to capture one of those cute feet pictures well the kids were drenched by this time and I didn't factor in the sticking grass or the tempers that would fly because someone wasn't sitting by the person they wanted to sit by. And then of course I had a nice shot of just a few feet and the one throwing the biggest tantrum walks right in front. I put my camera away until I could cool down. We did have a great time the boys went and played ta

Birthday, BBQ and Ice Cream

Image
Andrew had a great Birthday Yesterday which lasted the weekend. He got a bike, new clothes, a pair of shoes and sandals . He also got a video of pictures (of him) put to music from his grandma, she did a great job. Sam and I took Andrew to Red Robins (he had a certificate for a free birthday dinner) he was sooo funny full of happiness and just down right cute. We tired him out from all the running around we did. O.k. now you see them ( stitches ) She was really brave and a great trooper when Sam was done she got up and said that didn't hurt. Now you don't. Smokin Chicken! Yumm ! We made Vanilla Ice Cream to go with the Birthday cake. And let's just say we are getting good at this.(o.k. maybe we just lucked out) Yes he had is cake a day late but after Red Robins he wouldn't eat anything. Plus all he wanted to do after we got home is ride his bike. and just incase you are hungry we saved some for you.

Happy Birthday Andrew!

Andrew is 4 years old today. 4 things I love about Andrew... Andrew loves and cares about his family He can put a smile on your face even when you are trying to be serious He reminds us of what's important in life Andrew loves to help his brothers and sisters with there chores. 4 cute sayings... Dad: don't wiggle in my bed! Andrew: I wiggle in my bed?! Mom you are my wen (friend) This is my hooker (the end of an umbrella, a hanger, anything with a hook)o.k. we try not to encourage this one. my legs are broken His favorite Color is yellow and his favorite animal is a chicken. The other night he said family prayer by himself without any help. It was the sweetest prayer ever. He blessed the walls the windows, mirrors and a few other items. Let's just say we are very proud of our little boy.

Parks, Parks, Parks

Image
Today's park was Jefferson park in Tacoma. I must say one of my favorite parks so far. The playground is any kids dream especially if they like to go round and round and round. They also have ball fields that you could possibly use. The spray ground was also Fabulous! The only complaint from the kids was ... The amount of people that occupied the park. However we all enjoyed are selves. Today 7-Eleven celebrated their birthday today and gave away free slurpee's the kids enjoyed them so much they wanted me to find another 7-Eleven and get another one.

Bears in the Park

Image
Do Teddy Bears really go on picnics.... Yes! And what do they eat?.... Peanut Butter and Honey sandwiches. We were fortunate to meet up with Bear from the big blue house who was just hanging in a nearby tree at the Blueberry Park. O.k. so once again Tasha has taught me a lesson... I had gotten our picnic lunch ready and everything was ready to go we had tablecloths, chips, cookies, gummy bears, and other items.I assumed that I had help taking these bags to the car. Unfortunately the one bag did not make it to the Park. So we ended up with our drinks and sandwiches.I had expressed my frustrations and Tasha and explained!! to me that wasn't having our family together enough?I am so grateful for her help keeping my focused on whats important in life.Despite the learning curves we had a great time climbing trees, eating, and picking Blueberries. O.k. so the Blueberries are not quit ready but we found enough for all of us to have one.
