National Splurge Day

I sure wish I knew about this holiday yesterday I would have planned all kinds of fun splurging activities. However I am going to make the best out of this Holiday starting with baking a big batch of brownies.

It's National Splurge Day, oh Yeah!
There are certain dates on the calendar that you look forward to with great excitement. You mark the date and wait in eager anticipation. For me, National Splurge Day is one of those very special days.
National Splurge Day is a day to treat yourself excessively, to anything you want. And, to excess if you desire. Isn't that a great thing? Maybe, you're on a diet, and that special dessert is too many calories. Maybe, you want to buy a steak, and the budget is a little tight. Toss out the reservations, and go for it today.

Celebrate this day to the fullest degree. Treat yourself to whatever you want and to excess . For, this is a day to splurge. Do so without worry or concern...until tomorrow.

well, my only splurge today was the brownies you made, which were very good ... if I had known you could make frosting with marshmallows (I love them) I would have done that a LONG time ago. I will have to try that one myself.

It's Blabbing day today!! Are they kidding me? A day I can just go on and on about nothing? (I bet they created this day for the children)LOL! So I found a brand of shoes that I absolutely love to look at. I have not worn or own a pair but would love to in the future. I just think paying more than $20 for a pair of shoes is crazy! Let it Snow!

Here are some pictures of our neighborhood. The kids have had a blast in the snow. Some of the kids comments ... Callie.."It's a miracle" Andrew.."I want to go play in it" (this being about 11p.m.) Brandon .. "I need water to build a snowman"(?) Kids..."It's cold outside" Being so cold outside it is great weather for soup! I used my soup making skills (lol) and tried my hand at French Onion Soup! It turned out very tasty! Next time we will brown the onions more and hopefully we will have the right types of cheese. But no complaints from the kids (surprising) I will definitely make this again. For recipe click here .
