Priesthood Blessings



I wanted to share this cute little story with you.
A couple of weeks ago Callie (age6) had cut the bottom of her foot (scratch) and as bedtime approached she had progressed into a hysteric state. We had said family prayer and sent the kids to bed, we could still hear Callie sobbing I went in an knelt by her bed as she sobbed right into my arms we cuddled and I suggested a fathers blessing she almost immediately calmed right down and said yes. I carried her into the front room where she asked her father for a blessing. He then blessed her with a beautiful blessing and she gave him a hug and kiss and went to bed. The next morning she woke up with a huge grin on her face and Tasha had asked what she was happy about? She explained " there where angels with me all night" "Because dad gave me a blessing". The amazing thing about this blessing is he did bless her with angles.
This was a true testimony builder. And I love my Kids for sharing there ups and downs with me.

whenever I talk about blogging or what I read on someone's blog Marshall acts completely uninterested except for this story he thought it was so cute. I guess he is just a sucker for callie.

It's Blabbing day today!! Are they kidding me? A day I can just go on and on about nothing? (I bet they created this day for the children)LOL! So I found a brand of shoes that I absolutely love to look at. I have not worn or own a pair but would love to in the future. I just think paying more than $20 for a pair of shoes is crazy! And most of there shoes are $50+ These are one of my favorite!! But I haven't been able to find them cheaper than $89 that's a little steep.(I think) I will find them cheaper you just watch. They might be out of style by the time I can purchase them but I will have them. I love these too! I think I have a new hobby.. collecting shoes, now if I could only afford them. I have a couple of kids who have a difficult time channeling their Anger. So we are thinking of putting them into AKIDO (martial arts). Let it Snow!

Here are some pictures of our neighborhood. The kids have had a blast in the snow. Some of the kids comments ... Callie.."It's a miracle" Andrew.."I want to go play in it" (this being about 11p.m.) Brandon .. "I need water to build a snowman"(?) Kids..."It's cold outside" Being so cold outside it is great weather for soup! I used my soup making skills (lol) and tried my hand at French Onion Soup! It turned out very tasty! Next time we will brown the onions more and hopefully we will have the right types of cheese. But no complaints from the kids (surprising) I will definitely make this again. For recipe click here .
